Our learning platform MAKE provides practical, hands-on construction skills workshops, building the knowledge needed to care for and repair buildings. We develop tailored learning journeys embedded in real-life contexts, working with a wide range of organisations and communities. Get in touch to work with us to develop a programme or register your interest to attend one of our courses here.

Collaboration is central to how we work. We develop partnerships with communities, organisations and research bodies to imagine and deliver projects that neither of us could do alone — from co-designed learning programmes to long-term research initiatives. We're always open to new partnerships, particularly where the work builds capacity for regenerative futures.

We work to transition the design and construction industry to a regenerative model anchored in a network of sites across the UK. We are currently based at Tipping Point East, the UK’s first Climate Futures Centre that we co-founded. We are developing neighbourhood-led retrofit solutions with partners in Birmingham and Newham. Longer term we are working towards establishing a rural Land Lab as a centre for bioregional knowledge creation and dissemination.

We have introduced bioregional and regenerative practices to established courses at leading institutions including the Architectural Association, Central Saint Martins, London School of Architecture, UCL and ETH Zurich as well as UK based construction colleges. Developing new learning pathways is going to be critical to equipping the next generation of practitioners with the knowledge and skills they need.

We offer publicly available guides and materials for replicable building systems based on circular and bio-based materials, materials and approaches suited to co-builds and community practice. We also develop strategic approaches to bio-based and circular construction in the UK. We work with a range of accessible media, from films to how-to guides.
